Things got ugly during tonight’s Nationals-Braves game after Bryce Harper admired his 437-foot home run just a little too long.
Braves’ pitcher Julio Teheran decided Harper was guilty of showing him up and decided Harper must pay the iron price. This made Harper upset and he began barking at Teheran as he moseyed on down to first base. Tensions continued to flare and both benches and bullpens emptied before cooler heads prevailed.
Off the field the war of words continued as the intern who runs the Braves Twitter took a shot at the 20-year-old phenom, causing a venomous response from the intern who runs Nationals’ twitter.
@Braves Which part, giving up the home run, or drilling the 20-year-old on the first pitch his next time up?

Just like on the field cooler heads prevailed and the Twitters returned to their respective dugouts.
