Kanye West dropped a new song this week titled “Theraflu.” In classic Kanye manner, he has everyone buzzing about his controversial lines regarding Kim Kardashian, Chris Humphries, PETA and Theraflu. Here are the polarizing lyrics:

“Can’t a young ni**a get money anymore?
Tell PETA my mink is draggin’ on the floor […]

And I’ll admit, I fell in love with Kim
‘Round the same time she had fell in love wit’ him
Well, that’s cool, baby girl, do ya thing
Lucky I ain’t have Jay drop ‘im from the team […]

Way too cold, I promise you’ll need some Theraflu

(Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh) Get the Theraflu

Predictably, PETA is not happy about their reference in West’s anti-haters anthem, and expressed their distaste to the Wall Street Journal:

” . . . what’s dragging on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings. He’s a great musician but doesn’t seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes.”

A company representative from Theraflu, who Kanye named the song after, let TMZ know where they stand on the subject:

“We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner,”

There is some good news for Kanye, though. The girl he apparently loves is a fan of the song and even admits the future could hold something for the two stars:

Fun fact for you guys: The Hit Boy-produced beat behind “Theraflu” wasn’t originally intended for West. “It was supposed to be for [DJ] Khaled’s album,” Hit Boy tells MTV. “‘Ye was just like, ‘This needs to be out now; this is an urgent record.'”

This explains why DJ Khaled graces the beginning of the track with his annoying shouts. Would’ve included the song, but it’s impossible to find a shareable version on the web right now.
