BSC 2011 - Week 37

Good morning, campers!  Last week Big Skeezy came back from a small hiatus to regale us with the tale of Labor Day and the subsequent weekend, wherein he let his hair down a bit and gained three pounds.  This week he’s back with a regular update.  How’d he do this time?  Let’s break it down:

After the two week bender I went on I was actually pleased to escape only three pounds heavier.  It was actually good for me because I felt like I was really getting heavier which made me feel like a bloated sack of crap and motivated me to do better this week.  As always, the week started beautifully.  I rode my bike, did my work at the gym and ate as well as I could.  I felt good about the way the week was going moving into the weekend but then again I always feel good about everything going into the weekend.

The weekend, actually, wasn’t too bad compared to other weekends I’ve had.  I had dinner with some friends Friday night.  I had a chicken burrito and a few margaritas and then a couple more drinks at the bar we ventured to afterwards.  I had to work for a few hours on Saturday so I was unable to join the crew for the monster USC tailgate which also helped my usual totall meltdown on the weekend.  I spent Saturday night at the Hollywood Bowl, dining on an egg salad sandwich, potato salad, some interesting high-falootin’ corn chips and red wine.  Classy, I tell ya.  Sunday, of course, was football day and that’s when everything broke down a bit.  It was Mickey DonDon’s for breakfast followed by pizza later that afternoon.  There were mimosas and then the bottle of jack showed up along with two dejected Bears fans who basically had gas and threw Altoids everywhere.  It was a fantastic Sunday.

Monday was pretty interesting, as I had to fly to San Francisco to do an interview.  I’m not sure how much I’m allowed to talk about but in a couple of weeks you’ll be able to watch Big Skeezy interview an all-pro NFL tight end whose name rhymes with Shmernon Shmavis.  I was out of town all day yesterday, leaving early and coming back late.  My lone meal of the day was some chinese food around noon.

Finally it was time for the weigh-in and I discovered that I’d lost a single pound.  That brings me down to 282 and 89 pounds lost on the year.

I’m still trying to think of a way to shake things up and am expecting a new workout plan from a friend of mine who runs a fitness site so stay tuned for that.  In the meantime, do you.
