The Kansas City Chiefs have won back-to-back Super Bowl Championships and are at the top of the league. But it sounds like Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals want to knock them off their pedestal.

During his recent press conference, Cincinnati Bengals superstar quarterback Joe Burrow was asked about the Chiefs winning their second consecutive Super Bowl. While Burrow was quite complimentary about the Chiefs, he also made it very clear that the Bengals had their target set on Kansas City this upcoming season.

“Yeah, they were great,” Burrow said in his Tuesday press conference when asked about the Chiefs. “Their defense was one of the best in the league, they have great players on that side of the ball. And then, obviously, they’ve got Patrick and Travis and their O-line and those playmakers.

“They’re the gold standard right now. Everybody’s chasing them — obviously, they’re back-to-back world champs. Somebody’s got to knock them off, I’m hoping it’s us.”

Obviously, these comments from Burrow led to a lot of reactions on social media.

The Bengals and the Chiefs have played some great games over the years, particularly in the AFC Championship game. We’ll have to see if Burrow and the Bengals can knock off the Chiefs this year.
