Former United States President Donald Trump is currently on trial in New York on claims that he committed campaign finance violations by paying hush money to keep an affair out of the news. And rather fittingly – given Trump’s affinity for golf – it sounds like that alleged affair began at a golf event.

According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, the alleged affair between Donald Trump and adult film star Stormy Daniels started at a celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe in 2006. According to the journal, Trump paid Daniels $130,000 to keep quiet to keep an affair out of the news during his 2016 presidential campaign.

Obviously, the news that the affair began at a golf course is pretty hilarious and fitting news, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.

Daniels recalled the affair back in an interview in 2011.

“I actually don’t even remember why I did it but I do remember while we were [making love], I was like, ‘Please don’t try to pay me,’” Daniels told Touch magazine in 2011, a quote which recently. “And then I remember thinking, ‘But I bet if he did, it would be a lot.’”
