Ever since pop sensation Taylor Swift began dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, she has been thoroughly embraced by Kansas City. And when she released her newest album The Tortured Poets Department on Friday, she got support from a rather unlikely source – a local police department.

On Friday night, the Spring Hill Kansas Police Department showed its support for Taylor Swift in a Facebook post.

“We aren’t ‘listening to T. Swift at work’….. We are examining a musically interpreted anthology written by Dr. Taylor Alison Swift, seeking to glean profound wisdom to impart upon our audience, who, according to statistics, are also engaging with the same collection of melodic literature,” the Spring Hill Kansas Police Department wrote on Facebook.

The police department went on to give a thorough and very humorous breakdown of all 31 of Swift’s new songs, followed by fun fact about how many times an officer could hypothetically listen to Swift’s full album on a 12-hour shift.

“Thanks for coming to our TayTalk. (p.s. you can listen to the 122-minute #TTPD album 5.9 times during a 12-hour shift),” the post continued.

Obviously, this post led to a lot of reactions on social media.

It’s clear that she has the continued support of Kansas City.
