With starter Quinn Ewers returning for another season, five-star quarterback prospect Arch Manning is not expected to be the starting quarterback of the Texas Longhorns this upcoming season. But after an extremely impressive touchdown pass during Saturday’s spring game, many Longhorns fans are thinking that could be a mistake.

Arch Manning has not had many chances to play in front of fans during his time with the Longhorns, but he made the most of his opportunities in the spring game on Saturday, throwing an impressive deep ball to Longhorns wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. for a 75-yard touchdown.

Manning showed off his impressive arm strength on the play as he hit Moore perfectly in stride for the long touchdown.

It was certainly an impressive play, and it had a lot of Texas fans calling for the Longhorns to make him their starting quarterback for the upcoming season.

Manning was the highest-rated player in the 2023 high school recruiting class when he signed with Texas ahead for the 2023 season.

While it’s not likely that he will be the team’s starting quarterback this upcoming season, it is likely that he’ll get a lot more playing time with former backup Maalik Murphy transferring following last season.
