Not only did Taylor Swift reference her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce in her new album The Tortured Poets Department, but it seems like she also poked a little fun at him, as well.
When Taylor Swift first began dating Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce, a social media trend erupted of women and girls jokingly telling their football fan partners that Swift “put Travis Kelce on the map” and filming their reactions. Kelce even made reference to the trend on his New Heights podcast.
“She put me on the map right there on the video,” Kelce said.
And Swift seems to reference this trend in her song “The Alchemy” on her new album.
The song, which is quite clearly about her relationship with Travis Kelce with its many references to football and their romance, seemed to make reference to the “put him on the map” comments in the first verse of the song.
“I circled you on a map
“I haven’t come around in so long
“But I’m coming back so strong”
It’s not totally clear whether or not it was an intentional reference by Swift, but her fans certainly seemed to think that it was.

She’s a joker I swear. I love this for her. He probably laughed so loud and hyped her up for writing that. https://t.co/sRogDuJTwF

This is probably the first of many songs about their relationship.
