Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

On Friday at midnight, pop sensation Taylor Swift officially released her brand new studio album The Tortured Poets Department. And nay fans hoping that the album would feature some clear references to her new relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce were certainly not disappointed.

The 15th track on the new album called “The Alchemy” is full of obvious references to football and her relationship with her football star boyfriend.

The references are particularly obvious in the song’s bridge.

“Shirts off, and your friends lift you up, over their heads
Beer stickin’ to the floor, cheers chanted ’cause they said
‘There was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league’
Where’s the trophy? He just comes, running over to me”

And then those references continue into the chorus:

“Touch down
Call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team
Ditch the clowns, get the crown
Baby, I’m the one to be
‘Cause the sign on your heart
Said it’s still reserved for me
Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?”

The references are very clear, and the song led to a lot of reactions on social media.

If the two remain together, it’s safe to say this is just the first of many songs about their relationship.
