Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark has quickly risen to become one of the biggest names in sports. And that seemingly comes with a plethora of opportunities that only continue to grow.

Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes are set to compete against Colorado in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday. But on Wednesday, Clark received an offer that certainly caught the attention of the sports world.

Ice Cube, the famous hip-hop artist and founder of the Big3 basketball league, took to social media to share that he has offered Clark a “historic” offer to join their basketball league. According to TMZ, the offer would indeed be historic, in the $5 million range should she opt to accept.

Ice Cube continued on to make his pitch to Clark, saying that she could “break down barriers” for females in sports even more by playing in the Big3.

“The skeptics laughed when we made Nancy Lieberman the first female coach of a men’s pro team, and she won the championship in her first year,” Ice Cube said in his tweet. “Then Lisa Leslie won it all in year two. With our offer, Caitlin Clark can make history and break down even more barriers for women athletes.”

Naturally, fans had plenty to say about the possibility of Clark competing in the Big3 league.

As some fans said, it is a pretty genius move by Ice Cube to both help bring popularity to the Big3 league by bringing in Clark and give a female athlete like Clark a chance to compete against male athletes in the league.

Only time will tell whether she will ultimately accept the offer. But at the very least, it has to be an intriguing possibility to Clark.
