Marc-Andry Fleury had to deal with Jets fans being noisy and rambunctious all game when the Vegas Golden Knights face Winnipeg in the MTS Center,  but he’s spinning the atmosphere in a positive direction.

After the Golden Knights even their Conference Final Series 1-1 with a 3-1 win over the Jets, Fleury was asked about the loud Winnipeg crowd. The 33-year-old goalkeeper admitted he heard most things yelled his way, but joked to reporters the crowds “FLEURY, FLEURY,” chants made him think “that they like me a lot.”

The words from the crowd might have motivated Fleury into a great game, as he stopped 30 of 31 shots in the win against the high-flying Jets. Maybe, Jets fans should try a different strategy in efforts to irk the talented netminder. Because whatever they said on Monday didn’t bring Fleury down.

Regardless of how the crowd reacts, Fleury is a funny dude and good on him for joking about it after the game. But, that doesn’t disguise the fact that no matter what he says, Winnipeg fans definitely don’t like him at the moment.
