According to ESPN, Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant has become the youngest person to ever lead the MLB in jersey sales over the course of an entire season.
The 23-year-old Bryant is the youngest player to lead the top-20 list, though youth is a theme among those that come off the racks the quickest.

Although they didn’t make the postseason this year, three San Francisco Giants made the top-ten, presumably riding a wave of good feelings from the team’s previous World Series win in 2014.
Unsurprisingly, the Mets and Cubs reportedly received a huge boost in merchandising sales this year, as New York enjoyed a 95% increase in sales from last season, while Chicago enjoyed a fairly sizable 80% lift from last year. However, one can’t fault either team’s fan base for getting extra excited about the postseason. The Mets’ last playoff appearance was in 2006 while the Cubs last playoff appearance was in 2008. They’ve suffered long enough.
