The Fresno Grizzlies suited up as the Fresno Tacos for one game on Thursday night to much hype and fanfare that the team had been building since July.

The Taco name change was done to celebrate the Grizzlies’ 5th annual Taco Truck Throwdown. It was also a hugely successful event.

The Taco gimmick even grabbed the attention of purveyors of taco-like substances Taco Bell. The fast food chain made the Grizzlies a tempting offer on Thursday night. Change your name to the Tacos, and the entire city of Fresno will get free tacos.

The Grizzlies made sure to ask an important question in considering Taco Bell’s proposal:

To which Taco Bell replied:

Irrespective of the offer, the Grizzlies should change their name anyways. The team name “Grizzlies” is nowhere near as unique or awesome as the “Tacos.”
