For the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, AT&T has invited four inspirational golfers to the event to give people an unprecedented fan’s eye view into the tournament.

Each of the Foursome has a unique and wonderful story that captures how golf can positively affect people’s lives in all types of circumstances. Here’s your chance to get to know their powerful stories.

Tim Lang@TimLangGolf

After he sustained a horrific injury while serving in Iraq, Tim Lang made the difficult decision to have his leg amputated. The physical and mental fight to rehabilitate eventually led Tim to golf and the sport helped give him the motivation he needed to improve in all aspects of his life following his life-altering surgery. Tim now works as a motivational speaker, helping others find their passion and drive to persevere through adversity and he’s going to be on-hand at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am to give fans his own perspective on the tournament.

Tiffany Fitzgerald@BlackGirlsGolf

Tiffany Fitzgerald’s reasons for picking up golf started off as entirely practical. As a black woman working in corporate America, Tiffany found that learning golf could give her excellent opportunities to network with her peers. However, what started as a career-oriented pursuit quickly transformed into a real sports passion. Now, Tiffany heads Black Girls Golf, an organization which seeks to help black women with their golf game so that, like Tiffany, they can go out and conquer the golf course and build meaningful, lasting relationships, whether that be in the board room or in the community at large.

Dan McLaughlin@TheDanPlan

10,000 hours. That is how long Dan McLaughlin figured it would take him to master the incredibly difficult sport of golf. So, at the age of 30, Dan quit his job as a professional photographer to pursue a full-time career in mastering golf. Best of all, Dan has also blogged and recorded every step of his journey to serve as an inspiration to anyone who has felt that they could not follow their own dreams.

Katie Horsford@kthorsford

Growing up, Katie Horsford was shy. Like many teenagers, she was quiet and a bit unsure of her place in the world. However, as a young girl, Katie found golf and that shyness began to dissipate over time. Through golf, Katie built confidence in herself and the sport gave her a community with which to share her passion. She made friends with other young players and began to view the sport as a potential career. Placing second in the Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach further solidified Katie’s resolve to pursue her own dream of becoming a professional golfer. Going to the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am will allow Katie to give her own unique take on the tournament and give her valuable insight into her career path.

With the Foursome’s varied and remarkable backgrounds, their experiences will be an invaluable addition to people’s enjoyment of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
