With the Texans down by five in the final two minutes of Thursday’s game against the Colts, Ryan Fitzpatrick coughed up the ball after being hit by a Colts pass-rusher. With the game on the line, the ball bounced in the direction of Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who might have had a chance at recovering it and salvaging his team’s chances if he hustled and dove onto the ball.
He did not hustle. He did not dive onto the ball.
Instead, Hopkins gave it the ol’ college try and half-heartedly fell to the ground kinda sorta near the ball.
