On the one hand, the Jets quarterback situation is beyond awful. In Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers, this is what Geno Smith and Mike Vick were able to accomplish:

Your eyes do not deceive you. Both Jets quarterbacks managed less than three yards per pass attempt in the season’s first shutout. The Jets only had 60 yards in net passing in the entire game. It was horrendous.

On the other hand, when one thinks about potential saviors for the Jets franchise, the New York Daily News may have come up with an even worse alternative.

People do remember how much of a non-factor Tebow was in a Jets uniform, right?

The guy who couldn’t beat out Mark Sanchez? The guy that Rex Ryan barely even bothered playing when he had Tebow on his roster? Yeah, that’s the guy who will save New York according to the NYDN.
