In the latest bit of proof that “love conquers all,” a Philadelphia Flyers fan and Washington Capitals fan were able to put aside their hockey differences and tie the knot a few weeks ago in an really fantastic hockey-themed wedding ceremony.

Tim Strickler and Marisa Gerdano somehow made their relationship work despite being huge hockey fans rooting for rival teams, and – instead of pushing aside their differences on ice – they decided to use that as a central theme for a unique and creative wedding.

The poster was designed in the style of a game ticket:

The place card holders were hockey pucks with custom logos for the wedding:

Instead of the usual number assignments you see at most weddings, tables were represented by players from both teams:

And tables weren’t only named after good players, either!

The dance floor had a projection of the wedding logo, which was in the style of the NHL crest:

And the Mr. & Mrs. even got their own bobbleheads to celebrate their union:

Congrats to Tim & Marisa on their wedding and props for an awesomely creative ceremony. As a Bruins fan myself, I hope their marriage is successful and their respective teams are not.
