Grady Sizemore – Philadelphia Phillies
Everyone and their dog knew Grady Sizemore signed an incentive-heavy deal with the Red Sox but few realized the Phillies plucked the former Indians centerfielder after Boston designated him for assignment in mid-June.
One of the most exciting players in the game from 2005-2008, Sizemore ran into some serious injury issues, forcing him to miss the entire 2012 and 2013 seasons after playing in a combined 210 games from 2009-2011.
Much to the shock of those who actually knew he signed with Philly, Sizemore has caught on quite nicely, hitting .333 in 78 at-bats while recording seven extra-base hits.
