This minute-long commercial calling for the change of the Washington Redskins name will air in seven cities during Game 3 of the NBA Finals tonight. The powerful anti-Redskins ad was produced by the National Congress of American Indians before this year’s Super Bowl, but will finally see major audience viewership thanks to a California tribe’s funding.

The Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation paid an undisclosed amount for the ad to run during halftime of Game 3, saying that it was a “significant investment” that they deemed necessary for the cause.

The message is a pretty strong one, so it will be interesting to see what kind of buzz the ad generates.
