Two animals I had no idea existed before today popped up in a couple North American zoos this week — and boy are they cute. First up is a baby klipspringer (above), a small African antelope born at Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo. Here’s a fun fact about klipspringers: they are commonly preyed upon by leopards, caracals (lynx), eagles and humans. And by “humans”, we mean humans who have no souls.

Meanwhile, down in Mexico, we have a rare baby zonkey, which is exactly what it sounds like: half donkey, half zebra. A part of me thinks zonkeys are the result of drunken nights south of the border.
