There have been plenty of rumors that Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Kate Upton has reunited with her old flame, Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander. However there’s a new rumor swirling that the beautiful Kate is dating an older man, 58-year-old Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, however the source of this gossip seems to be a bit unreliable. The press questioned Thibodeau on Friday night at the United Center regarding the idea that this would be his last season with the Bulls to which he responded, “I’m not going to comment on rumors you guys [the media] start, and then you wait for me to respond.” The media then shared a quote from Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers who came to Thibodeau’s side, “He’s under contract, so yeah. I don’t know why he wouldn’t be. I think it would be nuts not to have him here. He’s the best coach, one of the best coaches in this league. So if you have that, that’s an asset. And I don’t think any right-minded organization would allow that asset to leave. Because with all this adversity they’ve had with injuries, if you allow that one to leave, things will fall apart. And that would be pretty much a guarantee.”
Thibodeau then responded by starting his own slightly preposterous rumor:
Obviously I have a lot of respect for what Doc does say, but every day there is something else going on. Now the rumor about my date with Kate Upton, a rumor started by me, I’m not commenting on that either.”
Now that is how you deflect a question.
