I am by no means an expert on Super Rugby rules, but a three- week suspension seems like an awful long time.  Highlanders centre Ma’a Nonu received a three week suspension for his tackle on Crusaders winger Tom Marshall over the weekend, and you can check it out below.  The suspension came as a result of Nonu lifting up Marshall which is illegal.

Apparently a month-long ban is the typical length of suspension but Nonu didn’t intend any harm and has a fairly clean history, therefore the suspension was reduced to three weeks.
