Bradley Cooper recently told BBC that he would “love” to play Lance Armstrong in a movie about the cycling champion’s life. Cooper told BBC, “I think he’s fascinating. What a fascinating character.”

Paramount Pictures is already in the works of planning a movie with JJ Abrams’ production company Bad Robot about Armstrong, who has been under much scrutiny as of late due to his recent admission to doping during his seven Tour de France title victories.

Other big names have been thrown around for the role including, Matt Damon, Jake Gyllenhaal and Christian Bale.

“I remember Matt Damon was going to do his autobiography at one point years ago,” Cooper told BBC. “I remember thinking, that would be a great character, I’d love to play that character. I would love to do something, I think he’s pretty fascinating.”

The film will be based on New York Times reporter Juliet Macur’s forthcoming book ‘Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong.’

No word yet on when the picture will be released.
