Kobe Bryant made waves on January 4th when he finally joined Twitter, and the Black Mamba has amassed nearly 900,000 followers since. Meanwhile, on January 16th, in a slightly less ceremonious occasion, former NBA forward and fan favorite Brian Scalabrine (aka, White Mamba) also joined Twitter. He’s gained a respectable amount of followers so far (46,500), while having some fun at the expense of those who dared to poke fun at his career.

Next, he’s pumped to watch his two favorite former teammates, Kevin Garnett and Joakim Noah, go at it on Friday night:

Now, here’s the real reason why he probably started the account. Some Boston-area ballers thought they could compete with an NBA player one-on-one. Based on the preview, there may have been a few regrets on their part.

Ultimately, you can’t spend almost an entire NBA career at the end of the bench and not have a sense of humor about it…
