I can’t remember seeing a goal like this in my years of watching the NHL. Islanders forward Matt Moulson got one of the oddest goals of his career when he netted the puck on a goal that deflected off of center John Tavares, then flies over the net, nails Capitals goalie Michal Neuvirth in the chest (who was turned around facing the goal trying to catch the puck), and then came to a resting place in the onion bag.
