When the Kansas City Chiefs visited the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl title over the Philadelphia Eagles this week. While the trip itself was largely unpolitical, one Kansas City star took the opportunity to send a political message to United States President Joe Biden.

During the team’s trip to the White House on Monday afternoon, Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker decided to send a Pro-Life message with his wardrobe as he stood behind Joe Biden’s podium during the president’s speech.

During the event, Butker wore a tie with lettering that said “Vulnerari Praesidio,” which is Latin for “Protect the Vulnerable” – a popular Pro-Life message. Butker also wore a gold pin on his lapel in the shape of small baby feet, representing the size and shape of the feet of a 10-week-old aborted fetus.

“I want to give the most vulnerable, the unborn, a voice at a place where every effort has been made to allow and normalize the tragic termination of their lives,” Butker told The Daily Signal in a statement. “As a father who has experienced three miscarriages, my wife and I understand the hardships that come with losing a child. Every life is precious and should be valued whether outside or inside the womb.”

Butker’s response has since gone viral on social media with plenty of people offering their reactions.

It was a subtle but clear message.
