Ezekiel Elliott’s dad doesn’t lack confidence when talking about his son’s talents.
TMZ Sports caught up with Stacy Elliott, where he discussed his son Zeke, the starting running back for the Dallas Cowboys, and his abilities. Stacy believes his son is, and I quote, “the best to ever play the game.” Here are snippets via TMZ.
“He’s the G.O.A.T. He’s the best to ever play the game,” Stacy said.
“This is deeper than Lavar Ball.. this is the actual truth. The truth is in the pudding, or the pudding’s in the truth, whatever they say.”
“Saquon’s a great running back, great young man. But he’s not Ezekiel Elliot in my opinion. Ezekiel is the best to ever play the game.”
Without a doubt, Elliott is one of the better running backs in the NFL. However, calling him the greatest of all time is downright silly. Elliott’s not even the best running back in the league right now. In 2017, he averaged 4.1 yards a carry, rushed for 983 yards and scored seven rushing touchdowns in 10 games. He did lead the NFL with 98.3 yards per game. Even with the missed games, Kareem Hunt, Todd Gurley, Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara are all guys I’d want before Elliott. And the best of all time? Puh-lease. If you don’t agree, put your money where your mouth is at CasinoTalk Online Casinos and take that bet all the way to the bank!
It’s great to see Elliott’s dad is confident in his ability. But, let Elliott win a few Super Bowls, or even multiple rushing titles before saying he’s the GOAT. Right now, he’s a good, borderline great running back. In 10 years could he be the best ever? Sure. Is it likely, absolutely not.
