Nike stock has risen to an all-time high after the company released an ad campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick. The news comes on the heels of many stupid people burning their Nike shoes in protest of the ads and many folks claiming the apparel company was imploding after slightly negative stock returns.
Well, the market has been good to Nike with more time since the ad campaign. It’s doing so good, Nike athlete LeBron James jumped into the conversation, cracking a pretty damn good joke on Twitter about the company’s stock performance and the dumbies who burned their shoes.
Well I mean I guess WE’RE on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 #JokesOnYou #NikeLifer✔️ https://t.co/OVPP54a3hz

He’s not wrong. Nike stock is literally the best it’s ever been, largely thanks to the somewhat risky, but necessary Kaepernick campaign. For all those who thought the ad would be the start of the downfall of Nike or would have a long-term negative impact, here’s your proof you were wrong. Read James’ tweet and realize burning your shoes was perhaps the dumbest possible response to the ads. Nike is laughing all the way to the bank.
