Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell and Philadelphia 76ers forward Ben Simmons have been engaged in one of the NBA’s spiciest slices of beef this year, with each rookie claiming they’re the true Rookie of the Year. Mitchell claimed Simmons shouldn’t be eligible since he’s sat out all last season. Meanwhile, Simmons is having none of it.

It’s the feud that keeps on giving.

So, when the 76ers took on the Celtics and Boston fans started chanting “not a rookie” at the Philly star, Donovan Mitchell absolutely loved it.

First, he dropped a laughing emoji tweet at the exact moment the chants were televised.

And in a less subtle jab, he commented this on House of Highlights’ Instagram page.

Keep your popcorn by your side, because this Rookie of the Year battle isn’t over.
