The basketball offseason has been more exciting than a lot of other sports. It has mostly been due to the evolving and now resolved Kyrie Irving situation.
There had been reported beefs between Irving and the organization. Many have also tried to attribute it to a perceived feud between Irving and LeBron James. Teammate Iman Shumpert knows exactly what is happening and he really doesn’t blame Irving for wanting to leave. In fact, he understands it.

“It’s two dudes that need the ball,” Shumpert said to Complex Sports. “LeBron needs the ball, Kyrie needs the ball. If I get the ball so I can make sure I have my 20 a game, that takes away from LeBron’s 40 that you want LeBron to score.”
It only makes the conversation that much more interesting when you factor in all of the personalities. “It’s more of a ‘I learned. We won together,'” said Shumpert.
It sounds like it was obvious that the relationship reached its natural end and the two harbor no hard feelings because of it. When you have two of the biggest personalities in the world on one team, rumors are going to fly. The Cavaliers and its players though are ready to take the next step.
