Forget photobombing and videobombing. “Creedbombing” blows them out of the water.

Panthers linebacker Ben Jacobs is the mastermind behind “Creedbombing”, which simply consists of surprising teammates by getting in their faces and singing Creed lyrics. Tight end Greg Olsen and team trainer have gotten in on the “Creedbombing” phenomenon as well.

Jacobs explained “Creedbombing” to Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer:

“The key is you’ve got to make really deep, direct eye contact,” Jacobs said. “So if you Creedbomb someone you’ve got to look them directly in the eye.”

When describing how “Creedbombing” became a thing, Jacobs brought up Nickelback:

“We were just talking about how when we were younger bands like Creed and Nickelback were big,” Jacobs said. “We were laughing with the raspy voices and how much we still kind of liked the songs. It just started turning into singing it randomly, you don’t even think about it. It’s taken on a life of its own.”

We need more “Creedbombing” and less photo/video bombing. Out with the old, in with the new.
