Sean McCarthy stood on Great American Ball Park’s field in front of thousands of people as he attempted to break a world record.
But it wasn’t a baseball one. Instead, it was the record for longest washing machine throw. The record to beat was 13 feet and 6.6 inches from Lithuanian strongman Zydrunas Savickas, and McCarthy didn’t disappoint. He held the washing machine over his head and chucked it 15 feet and nine inches.
With their team 20 games out of first place, maybe this is what Reds fans need to get them excited again.
