On Monday, Dota 2 (a multiplayer online battle arena video game) began the Main Event for its International, widely regarded as one of e-sport’s most prestigious tournaments. The complex and action-packed game has managed to garner a huge and devoted following over the years and one of the games’ most visible fans/players is Charlotte Hornets player Jeremy Lin, who came out to Seattle to witness the $18 million competition from KeyArena.

Lin also got to meet Chinese team ViCi Gaming. Both parties seemed pretty thrilled.

Of course, it’s not a shocker that Lin would attend Dota’s biggest event. The dude has played Dota for years and he even sat down for an interview for a Valve-sponsored film on the game itself where he compared the similarities between Dota and basketball (Lin shows up about five minutes into the video below).
