If you can’t beat them (or get a hit off of them), trade for them.
That’s apparently the motto for Cubs fans right now after Cole Hamels recorded his first career no-hitter at Wrigley Field on Saturday. In what might’ve been Hamels’ final start as a Phillie with the trade deadline one week away, the veteran southpaw mowed down 13 Cubs hitters and raised his value as high as it could go.
Chicago has been rumored as a possible destination for Hamels, and Cubs fans are all in on the idea of him joining the staff.

Hamels would join Jon Lester, Jake Arrieta, and Jason Hammel in what’s already one of the best pitching rotations in baseball.
