On Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors agreed to trade David Lee to the Boston Celtics for Gerald Wallace.

The move wasn’t that unexpected. Lee was a valuable member of the Warriors for years but his role dwindled last season and Lee was set to make $15.5 million if he stayed with the Warriors for the upcoming season.

Still, Lee was a consummate professional who never complained about his marginalized role and he was unsurprisingly consistently praised by his Warriors teammates for how he handled his time on the team. So, when news of Lee’s trade to Boston broke, Stephen Curry posted an old video on Twitter of himself blocking David Lee’s shot back when Lee was still a member of the New York Knicks as a good-natured goodbye to his friend and long-time teammate.
