Rob Gronkowski may appear to be the very embodiment of YOLO but the Gronk is actually very prudent when it comes to his financial security.

The Patriots tight end is releasing a book entitled It’s Good to be Gronk later this summer (yes, Gronk can soon add “published author” to his resume) and MMQB’s Robert Klemko was recently able to get his hands on a copy. While there are definitely some snippets that one would expect from a book by Gronk (dancing at a bachelorette party, being in a frat-house fight), Gronkowski also detailed how he manages his finances.

Turns out, for all the high-life partying that Gronk does during the summer, he has his head screwed on tight when it comes to his money.

“To this day, I still haven’t touched one dime of my signing bonus or NFL contract money. I live off my marketing money and haven’t blown it on any big-money expensive cars, expensive jewelry or tattoos and still wear my favorite pair of jeans from high school… I don’t hurt anyone (except Gord with the occasional kick to the groin), I don’t do drugs, I don’t drive drunk, I don’t break the law… I’m a 23-year-old guy just looking to have a fun time.”

We now return to the Summer of Gronk in all of its financially sensible (and occasional Gord groin kick) glory.
