Jeff Francoeur provided the only positive highlight for the Phillies during their miserable 19-3 loss to the Orioles on Tuesday night.

The 31-year-old outfielder, who has actually pitched before in the minor leagues with El Paso, took the mound with Philadelphia down 14 runs. He threw 48 pitches in two innings of relief, allowing two runs while walking three batters, hitting one, and striking out slugger Chris Davis. It’s not the best stat line, but it’s better than anything else the Phillies’ pitching staff had to offer.

With Philadelphia’s record being 22-44, they might as well just throw the guy in the starting rotation.
