More than 17,000 fans and a host of celebrities came to Yankee Stadium on Wednesday night for the True Blue Celebrity Softball Game, an event held to honor slain NYPD police officers Brian Moore, Rafael Ramos Wenjian Liu. The game, organized by former NFL quarterback and current media personality Boomer Esiason and his radio show co-host Craig Carton was hoping to raise at least a few hundred thousand dollars. According to CBS New York, the funds would be given to the Silver Shield Foundation, the NYC PBA Widows’ Fund, Children’s Fund and families of the three officers.

Family members threw out first pitches before the likes of Rex Ryan, Eric Decker, Joe Torre, Tom Couglin and others took the Yankee Stadium field.

New Jersey governor Chris Christie also participated in the festivities and, unsurprisingly, saw his name make the social media rounds for his outfit and un-athletic physique:
