New Orleans Saints v New England Patriots

New England Patriots defensive tackle and all-around awesome dude Vince Wilfork quietly assisted a woman who was in a car wreck mere hours after the Patriots beat the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Wilfork helped Mary Ellen Brooks, a 38 year old woman, get out from under her rolled over Jeep at 12:45 a.m. on Route 1 in Foxboro on Monday.

Police said Trooper Kenneth Proulx pulled up, held the driver’s side door open, “and Vince Wilfork reached in and helped lift the operator (Brooks) out of the vehicle with one hand.”

Brooks was placed under arrest and charged with drunken driving.

As for Wilfork, his decision to assist in the accident was an easy one.

“I saw somebody that needed help, and I helped.”

The Patriots defensive tackle didn’t even tell his teammates about his night which is truly admirable and a fact which will inevitably be turned into something about the PATRIOT WAY by Pats fans.
