Two years ago, an unknown Ohio State football player named Cardale Jones sent out a pretty dumb Tweet.

At the time, Jones was third on Ohio State’s quarterback depth chart, behind Braxton Miller and Kenny Guiton. Of course, we all know who Jones is today — the quarterback who just led the Buckeyes to a National Championship. Now, Jones is contemplating a jump to the NFL, with a decision supposedly being announced later this afternoon.

Even though Jones has only started three games, he still might be a fairly high draft pick. It’s a weak quarterback class and Jones might’ve done enough against Alabama and Oregon to boost his stock. Doug Farrar on SI.com broke down why he thinks Jones should go pro now.

Assuming Jones does make the leap to the NFL — he is the guy who once Tweeted “we ain’t come to play SCHOOL” and did say “life changing decision” — he should snag a decent amount of money. Which makes it all the more fun to take a look at the Reddit thread from a couple years ago. You know, the thread discussing his “classes are POINTLESS” Tweet.

Here are some of the best comments:

For the record, I think education is important and Jones’ comments on it were beyond stupid. But I don’t think he’s going to be playing “unemployed” next season.

UPDATE: Cardale Jones is returning to Ohio State next season. That press conference was weird.
