An Arizona couple and their young child had fantastic first row seats to Tuesday night’s Coyotes-Stars game in Scottsdale, where Dallas pulled off an exciting 4-3 overtime victory. The young girl got treated to an action-packed game. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to watch ALL of it because her parents are laaaaaaaaaame.

About five minutes into the game, a solid bout between Kyle Chipchura and Branden Dillon broke out along the glass directly in front of the family. Speaking as someone who has gotten to see a fight from the first row of a hockey game, that’s a wonderfully intense viewing experience that doesn’t come along too often…you know, unless you’re super rich and you live in the first row at sporting events. (I blog for a living so it’s pretty clear I’m not that lucky.)

But this little girl was robbed of the rare opportunity to see two grown athletes pummel each other from just a few feet away, all thanks to her overprotective parents, who quickly rushed to shield the girl’s innocent eyes from the violence unfolding in front of them. The decision seemed to be made by mom, but dad quickly follows her lead and helps out once he catches on, confirming exactly who wears the pants in that relationship.

Poor kid, she may never get that opportunity again. She also probably won’t get to see a rated R movie until she’s 18 years old.
