J.R. SmithDuring the fourth quarter of the Washington Wizards’ 98-83 thrashing of the New York Knicks on Tuesday night, shooting guard J.R. Smith took the task of ball handling duties a little too far, swiping at Glen Rice Jr.’s man zone in an attempt to get around him. Smith’s tactic worked to some degree, as Rice was — inexplicably — called for a personal foul (shocker: it was Bennett Salvatore on the call). Ultimately, it didn’t matter, as the Wizards won the game easily. And the joke is on J.R., as the league has slapped him with a one-game suspension:

Look on the bright side, J.R., that’s one less game you have to run the triangle offense.
