In order to kickoff the 2014-15 NBA season, the Charlotte Hornets are going to let owner and all-time great grudge-holder Michael Jordan take over their Twitter and all other social media accouts on Tuesday, October 28th.

Get ready for an #MJtakeover! The Hornets return to the court in Buzz City on Wednesday, Oct. 29 and the swarm continues to build here in Charlotte leading up to tipoff. But none of this could have happened without the overwhelming support of you – our fans! You spoke and we listened.

Now, as a way of saying thanks to you and expressing his excitement for Opening Night, Chairman Michael Jordan will be taking over all of our Hornets social media accounts on Tuesday, Oct. 28, giving our fans unprecedented access behind the scenes with our owner. Follow us using #MJtakeover for exclusive pics and posts from MJ himself as we prepare to tip off a new era of Hornets basketball together!

This could be the greatest thing ever.

During his playing days, Jordan was known as one of the game’s best trash-talkers. His Hall of Fame induction speech was legendarily salty and revealed that MJ never forgot any slight, real or imagined. The man knows how to hold a grudge and he doesn’t let a dispute die, qualities which could make Michael Jordan one of the world’s greatest internet debaters in addition to being a living legend.

Can you imagine Jordan getting into Twitter spats with people who insist that he pushed off of Bryon Russell? Can’t you just see him using the Hornets platform to throw shade at every player that’s ever been compared to him?

Hopefully, there will be no “handling” of Jordan during this because if there’s one thing that Michael Jordan didn’t get to do during his playing days, it was getting to troll his perceived enemies online like the rest of us.
