oliver

No, you’re not clever thinking that Branden Oliver is a Darren Sproles look-a-like in the No. 43 Chargers jersey…everyone else is thinking that too, sorry chief.

Oliver was basically unknown five days ago, let alone during fantasy football drafts in late August. The undrafted rookie from Buffalo suddenly lit the football world on fire in Week 5 with 182 total yards and two TDs on only 23 touches, recording one of the biggest fantasy days from a running back all season. Assuming that concussed Donald Brown is inactive or sees very little, Oliver slides into the top 10 of Week 6’s fantasy football rankings as the Chargers face a Raiders team that is giving up the 5th-most points to opposing RBs in 2014.

Other injured players to keep an eye on include Calvin Johnson and A.J. Green, with Golden Tate and Mohamed Sanu looking to benefit greatly from a potential absence.
