Texas might still be Texas but the Longhorns are undoubtedly not the superpower that existed through the early and mid-2000s. Including 2014, the now-Charlie Strong led team has gone 32-23 since 2010, placing them back in the average Big 12 slot they occupied throughout much of the 1980s and 90s.

However, Texas wide receiver John Harris has no interest in discussing average when it comes to the storied program. With his squad set to face the 7th-ranked (AP) Baylor Bears on Saturday, Harris still thinks history means everything.

Uh oh…..uh oh….did you hear that Bryce Petty? Baylor might have a far less attractive history than that of Texas but the Bears have some serious firepower. Art Briles has led his team to a 33-10 record since 2011 and has them taking aim at the College Football Playoff.

While history is important, Josh Harris took a very unnecessary and irresponsible dig at a team that could easily leave Austin with a blowout victory.
