jennings

No one will ever forget, especially M.D. Jennings. The former Packers safety was thrust into the national spotlight on the night of September 24, 2012 and will never shake the unfortunate label as the Fail Mary player.

Jennings intercepted Russell Wilson’s desperation heave, but as you’re fully aware, the little-known player from Arkansas State was not granted a simple interception that would’ve been forgotten by now. His name is forever associated with one of the worst referee errors in NFL history and now he could find himself on the Seattle payroll.

The Seahawks brought in Jennings for a tryout on Tuesday, with the team looking at options if Kam Chancellor’s ankle becomes a real problem. While an early-season tryout for a low-level safety means almost nothing, the irony is too incredible to ignore.

The Packers might be struggling but is anyone else hoping John Schneider signs him and the two teams meet again in the playoffs? Or maybe Golden Tate’s Lions roll into Seattle for a January matchup?
