Being a season ticket holder for a team in any sport comes with its perks – some a lot cooler than others – but I don’t think I’ve seen team go as far as the Anaheim Ducks did for 10 lucky fans when they handed out their season tickets this week.

The fans were invited to pick up their tickets from the Honda Center, where they were immediately greeted by newly-acquired center Ryan Kesler, who was camped out at the reception desk in full Ducks gear. If they thought the surprises were going to end there, boy were they wrong. Waiting for them in the elevator was goalie John Gibson, who brought them to an upper level to meet defenseman Hampus Lindholm.

Lindholm then directed them to the locker room, where head coach Bruce Boudreau, Ducks girls and the team mascot were waiting to present them with their tickets and a few extra gifts, including a personalized jersey. In the locker room, the fans got to take pictures with the players and get autographs.

Not only is it a great gesture to the fans, it’s also a smart PR move by the team. Something tells me those fans will be renewing their season tickets after this season.
