We all know the guy  that accurately predicted a Seattle triumph over Denver in last year’s Super Bowl and we all want to punch him in the face for the year-long reminders of his miraculous vision. My dog could have picked a Seahawks-Broncos title game.

Did the same guy predict a 12-4 season for Carolina or three wins for the Skins? Did he foresee Nick Foles tossing 27 TDs to a mind-boggling 2 INTs or guess that Marvin Jones (who?) would snag 10 TDs in 2014?

Those are the ridiculously aggressive picks that we love. Here are a handful of NFL predictions so bold that they might actually happen:

Tom Savage wins Offensive Rookie of the Year

Bold. Bold. Bold.

Yes, Ryan Mallett played under Bill O’Brien briefly in New England before he left for Penn State but asking a player with no real experience to immediately pick up a playbook in his new destination is awfully ambitious.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is not the answer at QB in Houston and while Mallett might become a serviceable starter in the future, the keys to a struggling Texans offense could be given to Tom Savage, a rookie from Pittsburgh. With weapons in Andre Johnson, DeAndre Hopkins and Arian Foster, a suddenly veteran-like Savage will lead the Texans to a second-half surge and capture the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award in 2014.
