Although many were surprised when the Jaguars selected Blake Bortles as the third overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Bortles showed a glimpse of the potential that Jacksonville obviously saw when they drafted him so high during Thursday night’s preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.

In the second quarter of the game, Bortles heaved a long ball which perfectly fell into Marqise Lee’s lap. Lee caught the ball in stride and waltzed into the end zone.

It may only be a matter of time before people take Blake Bortles seriously (or at the very least, not snicker at the name “Blake Bortles”). Lord knows Jaguars fans could use some good news.
