Tommy John was a pitcher for the LA Dodgers, had a record of 13-3 before tearing his UCL (ulnar collateral ligament) in his pitching arm. Doctors thought he would never pitch again. After taking one season off to recover, TJ came back to play 164 games post surgery. This surgery lead to a revolutionary surgical operation, now named after him.
